Local Girl Scout Wins Honorable Mention in National Magazine Competition
Girl Scout Mason Green, of Gatlinburg, is an honorable mention winner in Justine magazine’s R.E.A.L. Girl/Girl Scouts 2011 Contest. Council CEO Reports on National Session
Last week National Council Delegates convened to consider the business of the Girl Scout Movement. GSCSA was represented by 10 delegates and one alternate. Delegates considered three (3) proposals described in more detail at http://www.girlscoutcsa.org/2011/10/2011-girl-scout-national-session-proposals-2. Prior to this meeting, we reviewed input from the survey, the public meetings and the e-mail address created for this purpose. GSCSA Recognizes the Passing of a Beloved Employee
Dear GSCSA Family, I am very saddened to share with you that GSCSA staff member Carlene Brady passed away early this morning (11-16-11). Carlene had been a long time Girl Scout employee and most recently served as 100th Anniversary and Alumnae Coordinator. She was loved and respected by co-workers and volunteers alike and will be missed. First Tennessee Bank Checking Account Update
First Tennessee Bank will be sending letters to all troops holding accounts with First Tennessee Bank. New regulations require First Tennessee to change the way troops set up their accounts. The type of account will simply be changed to a Business Essentials checking account. The changes will not affect any troops who currently have accounts – your checking accounts should not be charged any fees, and you will be able to use your debit cards as you have been doing. …
