Want to see your design on merchandise in the council shops? GSCSA is sponsoring a design contest for the council’s 2012 shirt. Designs must be appropriate for all Girl Scouts and submitted exactly as directed.
Eligibility
The contest is open to all registered Girl Scouts in grades K-12. Entries may be submitted as an individual or as a troop but not both. You may enter the contest only once.
All entries must:
- be of one of these three themes: Girl Scouting Is; Girl Power; Leadership Is.
- be done in color (full color or two colors).
- be designed by the girl.
- be drawn by hand.
- be no bigger than an 8 1/2 by 11 inch piece of paper (no lines on paper).
- contain the full council name or initials
(GSCSA).
Label the back of your design with the following: girl’s name, troop number, grade level, phone number, e-mail address, home address, parent/troop leader’s name, and theme chosen.
Judging
A GSCSA staff panel will judge all entries.
Other Information
- The girl must keep a copy of her design until the end of the contest. The winner will be notified and announced in April. Original art work will not be returned to the winner.
- GSCSA retains the right to make modifications to the final design as necessary to produce merchandise to meet GSUSA standards.
- Entries that do not meet the specifications or not submitted by the February 29, 2012, deadline will be disqualified.
- There will be one winning design per theme. The winners will receive a grand prize.
- All entries become property of GSCSA.

All entries must be postmarked no later than February 29, 2012.
Electronic entries are not eligible, due to issues receiving large files and printing quality.
