Volunteer Award Winners 2013

Each spring, the council honors outstanding volunteers. These volunteers are nominated by others and approved by the council. Meet the 2013 winners.

Volunteer of Excellence

The Volunteer of Excellence award recognizes those volunteers who have contributed outstanding service while partnering directly with girls in any pathway to implement the Girl Scout Leadership Experience through use of the national program portfolio or who have contributed outstanding service in support of GSCSA’s mission delivery to girl and adult members. President’s Award

Courage, Confidence, and Character Award

This award is presented for significant contributions to the success through volunteer service and leadership in a community project, for demonstrating quality of leadership through service to multiple service units, multiple troops, or girl activities at the service unit or council level. This award has been created to carry on the tradition of the Oneida Bass Award. Oneida Bass is known for working diligently to bringing more opportunities for the girls. The criterion stands for this award as a great reminder of how Girl Scouting provides an opportunity to work as a team and make it happen. Honoree:

The Heritage Award

The Heritage Award was established to recognize the “be prepared” work of a Girl Scout volunteer, Edith Lynn. To receive this award would be an honor for the Girl Scout volunteer who takes the knowledge of the history in Girl Scouting and incorporates the new Girl Scout Leadership Experience while continuing to serve the organization. Honorees:
