Explore Solar Energy at SPECTRUM Exhibit

Girl Scouts are invited to SPECTRUM, a free, interactive solar energy exhibit at the Knoxville Center.

Some of the fun activities include scavenger hunts through the exhibit, learning to make s’mores in a pizza box, testing light bulbs’ efficiency, and finding easy ways to track energy costs.

SPECTRUM staff will customize troop visits with hands-on experiments to inspire girls to envision themselves in high-tech careers. This is a great resource for Juniors working on the Get Moving Journey. SPECTRUM even offers a box science kit for girls to use at a troop meeting.

To schedule a troop visit or get more information, contact spectrum@utk.edu or call (865) 329-0553, ext. 2.
