Knoxville Aviation Day

It’s a bird, it’s a PLANE!

Brownie through Senior girls will explore the fascinating world flight at Aviation Day, one of our council’s most popular events!

Sit in the cockpit of different planes and feel the controls in your hands as you study the instruments and imagine soaring high in the air; climb aboard a hot air balloon.

Learn what it takes to pilot these aircraft by talking to women pilots with backgrounds in commercial, military, and corporate flight. Female flight instructors will give you fascinating facts. Did you know that teenagers can get a pilot license?

This rain or shine event is sponsored by the Tennessee Chapter of the Ninety-Nines, the international organization of women pilots.
