Retail Specialist

This position is located in the Chattanooga Service Center.

Under direction of the Product and Retail Sales Manager, the Retail Specialist is responsible for assisting with development and implementation of strategies for supplying Girl Scout merchandise to customers quickly, efficiently and cost-effectively at one of the Council’s retail shops. Ensures high level of customer satisfaction with retail experience. Assists in development of and meeting or exceeding Council’s benchmarks for financial profitability through management of local inventories and day to day operations. Trains, develops, and mentors part-time retail staff.

Troop Coordinator

Position serving GSCSA’s southwestern Virginia counties and Bristol, TN

The Troop Coordinator provides ongoing field-based training, mentoring, support, and consultation to troop, service unit, and site-based volunteers by empowering them to deliver Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE) programs in keeping with GSCSA’s mission, vision, culture, and strategy. Delivers the tools, resources, and consistent communications for volunteers; coordinates training; and ensures effective GSLE program delivery through partner programs (i.e., partnerships with community-based programs, youth-serving agencies, faith-based organizations, and others), service unit events and programming, and the troop pathway. Assists with measurable outcome evaluation of GSLE programs. Collaborates with volunteers to develop and implement initiatives that increase girl participation, address girl needs within communities, and target underserved populations as identified and prioritized within each community.
