Create your own adventure this summer. Below are the different girl-only programs that campers can participate in.

“Rising” means that they will be in that mentioned grade for the Fall 2014 school year.

Camper Sampler

Rising 1st through 5th graders, $200

June 15 -17, registration deadline is May 23

June 22 -24, registration deadline is May 30

July 6 – 8, registration deadline is June 6

July 13 – 1, registration deadline is June 13

July 20 -22, registration deadline is June 20

Spend three days at Camp Tanasi trying new activities like swimming, boating, singing camp songs, arts &  crafts and more. Select four activities to participate in when you register online. See the Activities page. Campers will arrive Sunday afternoon and depart Tuesday afternoon. Bunk with our five-day campers of the same age group. Complete some requirements to earn badges from The Girl’s Guide to Girl Scouting.
 

5-Day Camp Discovery

Rising 1st through 8th graders, $315

Plan your own fun schedule! Spend five days at Camp Tanasi trying activities like swimming, boating, singing camp songs, arts & crafts and more. Select four activities to participate in when you register online. See the Activities page for a complete list of choices. Complete some requirements to earn badges from The Girl’s Guide to Girl Scouting. All campers will arrive on Sunday afternoon and leave on Thursday afternoon.
 

Connections!

Rising 4th-8th graders, $325

Enjoy traditional camp activities, plus a daily two-hour concentration your chosen activity of focus. You will select your afternoon activities when you register online. See the Activities page for a complete list of choices.

Water Week (June 15 – 19, registration deadline is May 23)

Learn to paddle board, water ski, kayak, and canoe.

Spa Week (June 22 – 26, registration deadline is May 30)

Relax with yoga, aromatherapy, and reflexology.

Outdoor Week (July 6 – 10, registration deadline is June 6)

Cook over a fire, learn trail signs, and make a survival shelter.

Culinary Week (July 13 – 17, registration deadline is June 13)

Become a chef extraordinaire! Cook over a fire and in the camp kitchen. Make no-cook snacks.

Textile Arts Week (July 20 – 24, registration deadline is June 20)

Try handicrafts like embroidery, hand and machine sewing, knitting, and crocheting.
 

Sow What? Journey Jump Start to Gold

Rising 9th-10th graders, $315, registration Deadline is June 20

July 20-24 at Camp Tanasi

Complete Gold Award 101 training and the Sow What? Journey with camp staff. Shop at a local farmers market, cook local food for dinner, help in the camp garden, and finish a Take Action project. You’ll still find time for swimming, boating, climbing, or archery.
 

Take the Lead

The Camp Tanasi CIT leadership programs are designed to introduce girls to important aspects of the skills needed in everyday camp situations while working closely with experienced staff members.

Counselor in Training I (14 year olds)

12 days, June 15-26, $400, registration deadline is May 23

Spend twelve days at camp learning basic camp counseling skills, communication and problem solving techniques and team building skills. Try out the activities with the other CITs and then spend time observing and assisting experienced staff members in the camper’s activity choices. Help lead songs and assist in the dining hall. Girls stay throughout the weekend and help run a council-wide weekend campout.
 

Counselor-in-Training II (15 year olds)

12 days, July 6-17, $300, registration deadline is June 6

Spend twelve days at camp polishing your community living skills, leadership skills and camp counseling techniques in preparation to become a camp counselor! Spend time assisting experienced staff in your activity interests. Help lead songs and assist in the dining hall. Girls stay over one weekend to help run a council-wide weekend campout.
 

SCUBA Week

Ages 12-18, $800

July 27 – August 1, registration Deadline is June 27

Join us for a sun-soaked week in Destin, Florida with your friends to get SCUBA certified! We will be taking the certification course on the trip and staying in cabins at Camp Kolomoki, a camp of the Girl Scout Council of the Florida Panhandle.

The course includes a classroom portion and an in-water portion, both taught by the experts at SCUBATech in Destin.

We’ll travel there and back from your closest service center, and all your lodging and meals are included. Just bring your own fins and mask!
