Retail Assistant Knoxville (Temporary Part-Time)
Under direction of the Product and Retail Sales Manager, the part time Retail Assistant is responsible for assisting the Retail Assistant with development and implementation of strategies for supplying Girl Scout merchandise to customers quickly, efficiently and cost-effectively at one of the Council’s retail shops. Provide excellent customer service by servicing the customers whether in house, on phone or online. The PT Retail Assistant is responsible for stocking and maintaining the sales floor and notifying the Retail Assistant when stock is low, helps to receive shipments, ensures accurate counting with inventory, monthly and annually as well as ensures accuracy in sales processes and cashiering. This position is based in our Knoxville location.

Troop Counselor
The Troop Counselor understands that the purpose of fostering safety and inclusion within Girl Scouting is to establish and maintain an environment in which all girls are valued and supported so that they have the opportunity to thrive through their Girl Scout experience. The Troop Counselor ensures that volunteers and staff have understanding of the critical importance of providing emotional safety, inclusion and joyful, meaningful learning experiences in Girl Scouting. Develops and implements field-based training, mentoring, support, and consultation for volunteers on best practices for emotional safety, inclusion, and conflict resolution. Collaborates with Senior Director of Mission Delivery and Director of Human Resources for the ongoing training and development of staff so that they are fully prepared to create and support a safe and inclusive environment for all constituents and stakeholders. Serves as a primary facilitator for volunteers, parents, and girl members of conflict resolution across the Council by providing direction and support and by identifying creative ways to reach mutually beneficial solutions. Online Marketing Specialist
Under the direction of the Director of Marketing, the Online Marketing Specialist serves cross-functionally as a key player on the Marketing Team. Serves as curator of content for a variety of internal and external communications. Assesses and advises communications systems and structures to benefit GSCSA’s mission, vision and strategy. Serves as marketing liaison to and collaborator with other operational and functional teams. This position may be based out of any of the service centers.

Work some weekends in a beautiful outdoors setting located on Lookout Mountain. The following paid positions are available:

Horseback Instructor: Requires 2 years documented experience teaching horseback riding and/or Certified Horsemanship Association Certification.

Canoe Instructor: Requires 2 years documented experience or American Red Cross Small Craft Safety and/or American Canoe Instructor Certification (flat water).

Archery Instructor: Requires Level 1 Instructor or higher certification.

Lifeguard: Requires current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification.

Kitchen Assistants: Requires current Serve Safe Certification.

All positions except kitchen assistants require current basic first aid training or higher AND CPR.
Minimum age 18 years old

Paid positions offer opportunities for weekend work starting in August. Scheduling of hours is based on activity requests by Girl Scout troops.
