The Girl Scouts of the USA will celebrate its 100th Anniversary in 2012! Join the Southern Appalachians Council in celebrating this historic occasion on Saturday, June 2 with a symbolic Bridging Ceremony and Party in the Park in beautiful Chattanooga.

We’ll begin at 9 a.m. with Opening Ceremonies in AT&T Field (where the Lookouts play!). At 10 a.m., thousands of Girl Scouts will cross the Walnut Street Bridge to symbolically “bridge” to the second century of the Girl Scout organization. After that, we’ll gather in Coolidge Park for music, dancing, food and tons of games.

Although the official Bridgefest event will end at 2 p.m., the party in Chattanooga doesn’t stop then! Girl Scouts and their friends and family are also invited to attend the Lookouts baseball game that evening with a discounted ticket, then we’ll have an opportunity to camp out on the baseball field!

All Girl Scouts plus friends and family are invited to attend! Pre-registration is requested and will be open in late February 2012.

When pre-registration is open, the Council will send out an announcement so you can be one of the first to register! Space is limited, so don’t wait to register! Stay tuned for more info.
