The entire Girl Scouts organization will celebrate its 100th Anniversary in 2012! Join the Southern Appalachians Council in celebrating at Bristol Motor Speedway Overnight, scheduled for September 29-30, 2012. This event is set to take place at Bristol Motor Speedway and Earhart Campgrounds, adjacent to the Speedway.
All Girl Scouts plus friends and family, as well as Girl Scout alumnae and the general public are invited to attend! Pre-registration is requested. Space is limited, so don’t wait to register! This event will run rain or shine (for both day and overnight portions of event) unless inclement weather would adversely affect the program.
Pre-registration closes at midnight on Friday, Sept. 14 (extended to Sept. 25). Day-of ticket sales at the gate may not be available if this event fills to capacity limit through online registrations (this will be posted online).
Upon registration, please print out your confirmation and bring it to the event. We will have your name on a list but the confirmation will help speed your process along and verify your registration. You will be listed under the person who registered for you.

$10: Bristol Motor Speedway Day-Only Package – Enjoy activities and dinner in Bristol Motor Speedway from 5-11 p.m. Includes dinner, patch and goody bag. ($15 day-of tickets at the gate)
$15: Bristol Motor Speedway Overnight Package – Enjoy activities and dinner in Bristol Motor Speedway from 5-11 p.m., then enjoy a sleepover at Earhart Campground and breakfast on September 30. Includes dinner, a patch, goody bag and breakfast. (Come early to set up your tent at 4 p.m.!) ($20 day-of tickets at the gate)
Everyone in attendance must pay the event fee, but children ages 4 and under will be admitted free.

Saturday, September 29:
4 p.m.: Registration/Check-In/Tent Set-up at Earhart Campground (See details below about “Bling My Campsite”)
5 p.m.: Gates Open at Bristol Motor Speedway
5-6:30 p.m.: Food Service at Bristol Motor Speedway (Hot dog, chips & drink)
6:30-7 p.m.: Opening Ceremony at Bristol Motor Speedway
7 p.m.-9 p.m.: Activities/games at Bristol Motor Speedway (BRING SWAPS! We’ll have a SWAP area.)
9-11 p.m.: Movie and snack at Bristol Motor Speedway
11 p.m.: Exit Bristol Motor Speedway to enter campsite at Earhart Campground for those attending sleepover (adjacent to Speedway)/end of day events
Midnight: Lights out at Earhart Campground
*Please note that you may exit Bristol Motor Speedway at any time before 11 p.m. if you wish to go to Earhart Campground earlier or simply leave the event earlier.
Sunday: September 30:
7 a.m: Wake-Up Call/Breakfast at Earhart Campground
8 a.m.: All attendees must be packed up and out of Earhart Campground
*Activities from 7 to 9 p.m. on Sept. 29 include SWAPs and crafts, ride-alongs on the track, photo opportunities in Victory Lane, tours of the luxury suites, relay races, face painting, games, plus the WellmontOne medical helicopter will be on hand for tours and photos. Please note that ride-alongs require a parent’s permission. Please print out and have a parent complete this form before coming to Bristol Motor Speedway on September 29. You may either bring the form with you on Sept. 29 or turn it into the Council before the event day.
Bling My Campsite: Show us what ‘cha got! We want you to decorate your campsite or tent with a special theme, and our judges will come around and choose a winner. This contest is similar to “Bling My Booth” during the annual Girl Scouts Cookie Sale! The winner will be chosen based on creativity and theme. The winning troop/family will win special prizes! Judging for “Bling My Campsite” will take place at 5:30 p.m. If you want to participate in the contest, your campsite/tent design MUST BE COMPLETE by 5:15 p.m. on Sept. 29.
