What is a Camp Master?
A Camp Master is a volunteer who comes to camp on Friday (before troops arrive) and greets the troops as they arrive, and they check the troops out when they are leaving camp (on Sunday).
They are the go-to person for the troops while they are staying at camp, and they also enjoy their own private cabin while they are on duty.
This is a wonderful way to get to know other Girl Scout leaders and troops, and make the camp experience enjoyable for them. In the past our Camp Masters told us how they enjoyed their time volunteering, and how it gave them time to get away from their own hectic schedules. We will have a sign-up calendar at the training and each person completing the training will have the opportunity to sign up that day!
