This exhibit celebrates the coming together of all friends in our new council, the Girl Scout Council of the Southern Appalachians. Come and have your picture taken as part of this campsite corner.
When visiting Daisy's Place Museum, you'll see a camping scene much like the one pictured above. Many authentic vintage Girl Scout clothing and camping items are on display in this exhibit. It's fun to see the Girl Scout camping styles of days gone by.

Another museum display shows troop-made quilted items, such as a "Coat of Many Colors" (for the official Girl Scouts of Tanasi Council Coat of Many Colors Patch created in partnership with Dolly Parton in 2009.) Through the window in the picture above, you can see a portion of the Archival Library, which holds many historical Girl Scout-related publications on camping, singing, crafts, and other activities. Girls and adults may browse those publications for ideas for troop projects and more. We ask only that you sign our visitor log.

Check out our fun exhibits of Girl Scout history, games, and activities. You’re welcome to choose from the SWAPS (Small Whatchamacallit Affectionately Pinned Somewhere) in a museum basket, and we hope you’ll bring some SWAPS to add! SWAPS are inexpensive little pins or gifts traded among Girl Scouts from different places to show where they are from - or who they are. Be sure to attach a pin and put your troop number and city on your SWAPS. Have fun! Be sure to sign the guest book on your way out to mark your visit. We are looking forward to seeing you!Girl Scout AlumnaeAre you a former Girl Scout? Would you like to reconnect? We welcome you to our Girl Scout Alumnae program!
