June 13-15, 2010The Great Teddy Caper Grade level: Rising 1st-3rd graders Your mission: find the missing teddy! You and your favorite stuffed animal friend are on the case at camp as we search for the missing bear. Have a ‘beary’ good time learning about the outdoors while solving this mystery. June 13-18, 2010Art-rageous Grade level: Rising 1st-3rd graders Have a blast creating all sorts of crafts. Try nature crafts or traditional crafts. Round out your camp stay with swimming, canoeing and more! Broadway Lights Grade level: Rising 4th-6th graders Calling all drama queens for a fun filled week under the spot light! Learn how to project your voice and create your own skits. Perform a play for the whole of your design for all of camp! Bangles & Beads Grade level: Rising 7th-12th graders Bead the day away! Learn the fine art of making jewelry. Create earring, necklaces, bracelets form beads, gems, pottery fragments, nuts and bolts. Also, enjoy all the camp craft activities Sky Wa Mo has to offer. High Five Grade level: Rising 7th-12th graders Do you dare to accept the challenge? Get ready to solve teambuilding activities with your own Girl Scout Team. And conquer low and high ropes courses at River’s Way and the alpine tower at ETSU. (High Adventure) Giddy Up Getaway Grade level: Rising 4th –8th graders If you love horses, your equestrian adventure awaits! You will be transported each day to a local stable where you will learn to ride, groom saddle and care for a horse. You will end your week by participating in a horse show. You must bring boots with heels and long pants for riding. June 20-22, 2010It’s a Bear’s World Grade level: Rising 1st-3rd graders Learn about nature! Watch nature, create your own habitat, and go shopping like the animals. Learn about wildlife and the animals that live outdoors while enjoying all camp has to offer! June 20-25, 2010Where the Wild Things Are Grade level: Rising 1st-3rd graders Join us for a week of fantasy while we explore the classic book Where the Wild Things Are. While exploring the outdoors girls will also create their own play at the end of the week to beshared with all of camp and parents/guardians as well. Gossip Girl Grade level: Rising 4th-6th graders Get the message? Learn how to communicate with others, create your own newsletter, and visit local radio station and news station WCYB TV 5. Also enjoy all that camp has to offer! Chatting Away Grade level: Rising 7th-12th graders Get to talking. Learn the fine points of public relations. Create your own newsletter and visit a local newspaper and new station WCYB TV 5. Enjoy all that camp has to offer including: swimming, canoeing, archery, and hiking. Trailing Along Grade level: Rising 7th-12th graders Do you enjoy exploring the natural world around you? Then join us for a backpacking trip on the Appalachian Trail. You will learn to prepare campsite, cook outdoors, and learn outdoor survival skills. Also enjoy swimming at the pool, and canoeing around the pond at Sky Wa Mo. (Backpacking) Giddy Up Getaway II Grade level: Rising 5th-12th graders Continue your equestrian adventure as you learn more balance and control of your horse. Learn more advanced skills such as trotting and cantering. You will end you week by participating in a horse show. You must bring boots with heels and long pants for riding. June 25-27, 2010Scrubby Bear Grade level: Rising 1st-3rd graders Bring your favorite stuffed animal on this three day adventure learn about healthy living and staying germ free with Scrubby the Bear. Enjoy bear-tastic activities, such as: swimming, canoeing, arts & crafts and much more. June 27-July 2, 2010Little Mermaids Grade level: Rising 1st-3rd graders Splash around camp! Play in the pool, wade in the creek, and discover floating lunches. You will learn water craft safety and the creatures that live in the pond and creek at camp. Aqua Girlz Grade level: Rising 4th-6th graders Get ready to splish and splash! Enjoy the cool waters of Camp Sky-Wa-Mo while experiencing creek stomping, swimming, canoeing and water safety techniques. Get your gills out and be ready to explore the wet and wonderful world of water. New Moon Grade level: Rising 7th-12th graders Ever wonder about the mysteries of the night? You’ll have a chance to find out what else is out, study the stars and take a night hike. Stay up late, sleep in, and rise in time for mid-morning activities. Join Team Edward or Team Jacob to explore the mysteries of the night! River Rats Grade level: Rising 7th-12th graders Fun in the sun!! A whole week of wet and wild adventure! Girls will tube down the Watauga, White Water Raft down the Nolichucky, canoe around the lake, and have fun doing a tipsy test in the pool. Giddy Up Getaway II Grade level: Rising 6th-12th graders Advance your horsemanship expertise by increasing riding and showmanship skills. You will end your week by participating in a horse show. You must bring boots with heels for long pants for riding. July 11-16, 2010Incredible Edibles Grade level: Rising 1st-3rd graders Are you hungry for adventure? Create edible play dough, birds nest and crystals. Sing and dance with Chef Combo and make dessert for the whole camp. Top Chef Grade level: Rising 4th-6th graders Love to cook or want to learn? You will cook something new everyday as you learn your way around the kitchen and the campfire. It’s so much fun you can taste it! Also enjoy all that camp has to offer. Dazzling Dabblers Grade level: Rising 4th –6th graders Not sure what you want to do at camp? In this session you will plan what your unit does. Pick and choose from many different options while learning essential camp craft activities. Iron Chef Grade level: Rising 7th-12th graders Practice your hand at creating new entrées and learn old favorites. Team up to prepare the best recipe. Plan a party for all of camp with your new found catering expertise. While developing your cooking skills, enjoy all that camp has to offer including: swimming, canoeing, archery, and hiking. Giddy Up Getaway I & II Grade level: Rising 4th-12th graders To ensure that space is available for everyone, we are offering a mixed week where girls will be split up according to level at the stables. Please specify Level I or II on the registration form. You must bring boots with heels and long pants for riding. July 11-23, 2010X-Treme Teen Grade level: Rising 7th-12th graders Do you enjoy adventure? Then we have the camp for you. Raft down the Nolichucky, put your bat eyes to the test in the Appalachian caverns, get high up on a ropes course and hike around the mountains on this two week adventure! Enjoy relaxing by the pool, archery, and much more at Camp Sky Wa Mo. July 18-23, 2010Making Music Grade level: Rising 1st-3rd graders Get into the rhythm. Girls will create their own instruments and music for a fun-filled week! Enjoy getting groovy to the sounds that you make, while swimming, canoeing, archery, and much more! So You Think You Can Dance? Grade level: Rising 4th-6th graders Get your dancing shoes on, while learning jazz, hula, and dance moves from other countries. Plan a dance party for the whole camp while swimming, canoeing and crafts. Leave a dancing queen! Project Runway Grade level: Rising 7th-12th graders Be a fashiontista. Embellish a pair of jeans, make a purse, and create a whole new look. But you better make it work. Then model your look at the Camp Sky-Wa-Mo fashion show! Also enjoy all that camp has to offer. Get Your Stalactites ON Grade level: Rising 7th-12th graders Get muddy! Explore the world that lives beneath you. Go wild caving at the Appalachian Caverns and spelunking at Worley’s cave. Come to Camp Sky-Wa-Mo for a camping experience just for Daisy Girl Scouts and their parent(s)/guardian(s). Groups will get to choose from our traditional camp activities such as canoeing, archery, arts & crafts, swimming and hiking. Meals are provided. June 25-27, 2010Just Us Gals
Come to camp and spend quality time with that special gal in your life. Get settled in on Friday night singing around the campfire and yummy s’mores. On Saturday, you choose from all sorts of traditional camp activities such as canoeing, archery, arts & crafts, swimming, hiking or go on the optional rafting trip. Enjoy a big camp breakfast on Sunday morning before returning home. Prerequisite: Girls must be 10 years or older to attend rafting trip with their adult companion. Note: Female companions WILL be able to sleep in same tents with girls. July 2-4, 2010Family Camp

Do you like slumber parties? Come for a weekend of adventure and bring a friend! This week end is for girls only! Girls will have the opportunity to use their leadership skills while participating in traditional camp activities such as canoeing, archery, arts & crafts, swimming and hiking or go on the optional rafting trip. Prerequisite: Girls must be 12 years or older to attend rafting trip. |
