PR Starbucks are now available for Troop Leaders and Service Unit Managers.
The marketing and communications team needs to hear what our troops and service units are doing so that we can share your news. We are launching an incentive program called “PR Starbucks” to encourage troop leaders and service unit managers to share special events (both before and after they happen) with the council. A troop leader or service unit manager (not parents or individual girls) will get a $5 shop credit and be eligible for a $50 monthly shop credit drawing whenever she sends in an item that meets the criteria. We will share as many stories as we can on www.girlscoutcsa.org, in Pathways, and with the media.
There are three ways to earn PR Starbucks: report an upcoming event, share a photo and event report, or share a newspaper clipping.
Reporting an Upcoming Event
Send in information ahead of an event that goes beyond the scope of the average Girl Scout troop or service unit meeting. Examples are special service projects, troops working together to earn awards, and girls showing leadership through Girl Scouting. Think about how Girl Scouting is changing the lives of our members and the lives of people in our communities.
Send us a Photo and Event Description
Using the above criteria, troop leaders or service unit managers may send in photographs with descriptions of events after they have happened. The photographs must include both a group shot and at least three candid photos that show the girls in action.
Send us Newspaper Clippings
If your troop has been in the local newspaper mail or e-mail us the newspaper clipping.
How do I participate?
Send your information to PRstarbucks@girlscoutcsa.org. This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . You may also use this e-mail address for questions about the program.
Only the first person to share the event is eligible for the PR Starbucks, and the incentive will be given only once for a recurring event.
PR Starbucks will only be available for the first 10 submissions; however, we encourage you to keep sharing your Girl Scout stories by sending information to the above e-mail address.
Not all submissions that earn credits will be posted, but they will all be added to our photo library for possible use in the future.
