Girl Scouts of the USA
This page is a one-stop directory for parents, girls, and adults working in partnership with girls including tips on safety guidelines, marketing tips, and more.

Our #1 priority is ensuring that girls participating in the cookie program are safe! Please follow these guidelines to help keep girls safe.

Social Media Safety

The safety of every girl is the most important part of our social media guidelines:
• You CAN post on your personal social media page about the cookie program. You may post the times and locations of any cookie booth that you will be at. You may post the Digital Cookie link.
• You CAN show pictures of your girl and the cookies she is selling!
• You CAN post about the Cookie Program in private neighborhood groups.
• You CANNOT collect orders from these posts
• You CANNOT post on any public social media groups.
• You CANNOT post in sales groups such as garage sale groups, community sales groups, Craigslist, Amazon, or Ebay
Protect the privacy of your girls – girls’ names, addresses, and email addresses should never be given out to strangers. Use an adult’s contact information to answer questions and direct customers to Digital Cookie for orders.
