Membership Managers (Chattanooga, Knoxville) toggle arrow

One position is based out of Chattanooga, TN, and one position is based out of Knoxville, TN.

Under guidance of the Regional Director, the Membership Manager is responsible for developing and executing effective recruiting strategies via in-person contacts to increase girl and adult lead generation in assigned, established geographic and/or functional areas. This includes recruiting girls to participate in the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, recruiting adult volunteers to deliver and support programming, identifying potential community partnerships for Membership, Programs, and Development, and promoting GSCSA through strategic participation in community activities.

SUGGESTED MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree or High School Diploma/GED equivalent with 1 to 3 years of related recruitment or direct sales experience.
Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
Bilingual Spanish a plus.
Maintenance of organizational membership throughout employment.

Program Facilitator (Varies) toggle arrow

Are you highly motivated to help girls discover their strengths, build confidence, and explore new possibilities? Would you thrive as you deliver Girl Scout programs to girls and make an impact on the next generation of leaders? Under the guidance of the Director of Expanded Experiences, the Program Facilitator delivers prepared Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE) activities at community-based and alternative delivery sites. Assignments, schedules, and hours vary based on program needs, site schedules, and available funding. Hours are typically late afternoons and 5-8 hours a week. This position is based at one or more sites in Knox County.

Placement Specialist (Chattanooga) toggle arrow

Do you have a passion for recruiting adult and girl members to one of the most well-known organizations in the country? Do you have excellent phone skills? Are expanding opportunities for girl participation in a nationally known program and providing extraordinary customer service to volunteers, parents, and girls high priorities for you? If yes, then the Girl Scout Council of the Southern Appalachians is seeking a candidate like you for our full-time Placement Specialist position. This office-based position is located in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Under the guidance of the Director of Membership Placement, the non-exempt Placement Specialist is responsible for developing and executing effective sales techniques to convert leads and prospects into girl and adult members in assigned geographic area. This includes recruiting girls to participate in the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, recruiting adult volunteers to deliver and support programming, and assisting other team members with recruitment and volunteer support. Most of this work will be conducted by phone or email or in-person in the office.
