Cadettes will dive into cybersecurity in this immersive two-hour class, learning how to protect their online identities and safeguard their digital presence. They will explore how computers and apps collect information, understand the importance of guarding their personal data, and learn to identify and avoid potential threats like phishing emails and social media traps. By creating profiles, analyzing metadata, and investigating cyber clues, they will develop the skills of a cybersecurity investigator capable of detecting and preventing cybercrimes. Upon completing this class, Cadettes will have earned their Cybersecurity Safeguards and Investigator badges, equipped with the knowledge to protect themselves and others in the digital world.
After completing the workshop, the student may purchase her badge. It's important to note that STEM the Gap Academy does not provide badges for completing the workshop.
