Girl Scouts will get the chance to understand the science behind flowers, investigating flower anatomy, the pollination process, and how to identify native wildflowers. The Ijams naturalists will teach about historical, medicinal, and cultural uses of each wildflower as the group encounters them and as a conclusion to our program, each child will create their own flower-inspired art piece!
This program is perfect for Junior Girl Scouts focusing on the Flowers Badge!
**This is NOT a drop off event**
No walk-ins will be accepted. Every participant must have a ticket.
All participants MUST complete an Assumption of Risk Form (only once in a calendar year) prior to participation in the program: ijams.org/waiver
If you have already filled out a waiver for another Ijams Education Program this year, there is no need to fill out another one.
Accessibility: Participants can expect to travel a distance of up to 1.5 miles during the duration of the program over uneven surfaces that may include rocks, roots, and gravel. This program includes various stopping points. The entirety of the program will be held outside - please dress for the weather.
Parking: Parking for this Ijams Education Course is free for all participants. Please arrive 5-10 minutes before the program begins and take note of your license plate as you will need this information to receive free parking. If you have been issued a yearly membership or parking pass, you're all set!
