For Volunteers

Welcome to the 2021 Girl Scout Cookie Program! Thank you for volunteering your time to make this program possible for our girls.

Getting Started

To get your troop ready for the cookie program:

  • Check that the girls in your troop are registered members of GSUSA.
  • Review all the available cookie resources, including the Volunteer Cookie Guide.
  • Turn in the Troop Agreement and make certain the council has your most up to date troop bank account information.
  • Meet with your parents — collect a Parent Agreement for each girl participating in the cookie program and hand out the materials you receive from the service unit to each Girl Scout.

Our #1 priority is ensuring that girls participating in the cookie program are safe! Please follow these guidelines to help keep girls safe.

Social Media Safety

The safety of every girl is the most important part of our social media guidelines. Please note that these guidelines were updated Nov. 14, 2019 and are the most up to date guidance from GSUSA:

  • You may post the Digital Cookie link on public or private social media.
  • You can post about the Cookie Program in private or public neighborhood groups.
  • You CANNOT collect orders from social media posts. Customers should be directed to the girl's Digital Cookie link or directed to pm you for more information.
  • You CANNOT post in sales groups such as Facebook Marketplace or garage sale groups.
  • Protect the privacy of your girls – girls’ names, addresses, and email addresses should never be given out to strangers. Use an adult’s contact information to answer questions and direct customers to Digital Cookie for orders.
  • Take the Girl Scout Internet Safety Pledge
